Mass killing pit

The massacre pit with a memorial stone was erected in 1985 with the inscription ‘The corpses dug up from the massacre sites were burnt here’ (in Lithuanian and Russian). The inscription is not accurate as from the end of 1943 onwards, bodies were burnt in the areas nearby pits. Minor damage to the south-western part in the 1960s during the construction of the railway. The structure resembles a nearby pit. The shooting range encircles the entire pit. There are openings in the embankment on all its sides.
